Come and Learn all about WW2 in New Brighton and hear about what life was like on the British Homefront. Your Journey begins inside New Brighton’s Oldest surviving building. You will hear stories of The Blitz, The arrival of the US Army, Secret Training at the Outdoor Pool, German Spies in Wallasey, The AA Guns at the Red Noses, The Maunsell Forts in the River Mersey, local Rationing, The Dig for Victory Campaign, Ladies and their new duties, Evacuation, War Dances at the Tower Ballroom and all the Post War History of the Seaside Resort. Finishing with the Art Murals Tour of Victoria Road with our Historian & Author.
Our Tours have a maximum of 20 people for a Small and intimate experience with our Guide. Our Tours and Fort Perch Rock are Dog Friendly, Wheelchair Accessible and suitable for All with an interest in WW2 History. Finishing inside The Mess Quarters Cafe, there is Wartime Scouse available after the Tour including a Variety of Tea, Coffee and Cakes.
