Our 1940s Evening Events inside the Fort are filled with Historic Tales of Wirral and Live Piano Music from Martyn McGinty. Come and Learn all about WW2 in New Brighton and hear about what life was like on the British Homefront. Your Journey begins inside New Brighton’s Oldest surviving building. You will hear stories of The Blitz, The arrival of the US Army, Secret Training at the Outdoor Pool, German Spies in Wallasey, The AA Guns at the Red Noses, The Maunsell Forts in the River Mersey, local Rationing, The Dig for Victory Campaign, Ladies and their new duties, Evacuation, War Dances at the Tower Ballroom and all the Post War History of the Seaside Resort.
Our Tours & History Evenings have a maximum of 40 people with Tables & Chairs inside the Officers Mess Rooms of the Fort. We are Dog Friendly, Wheelchair Accessible and suitable for All with an interest in WW2 History, Myths & Legends and More. Full Food Menu with Cocktails, Wine, Draft Ales and More.
